How do you find design briefs differ between the city and the peninsula?

I find the design brief approach to city homes and peninsula living differs by; city living you tend to want to design with internalising your spaces and working hard to ensure they feel private and secure as well as trying to bring in as much natural light as possible. They tend to need to work a little harder with less space available so designs need to be practical and multifunctional, allowing for our busy everyday lives. Peninsula living can sometimes afford a little more space to work with and intentionally seek to bring more of the natural surroundings inside to engage with. So it's more about opening up rather and closing your space inward.

Favourite Just Adele piece and how would you style it?

I love the https://www.justadele.com.au/collections/tables/products/nino-iii-bedside as it's a great contrast of materials, has the ability to change the look just by the stone and frame selection, as well as great storage/display functionality. I would style it in a living space beside an armchair or sofa, or use as a functional bedside table. It's definitely on the list!

How do you think natural stone changes the feel of a space?

Natural stone provides a strong textural and visual element in any space very quickly. The beauty of stone lies within each piece, being so unique and creates movement with no two pieces alike, and to me feel like pieces of art in themselves.

What are the biggest changes you’ve seen in the industry in recent times?

Oh that’s a tough one, there are some serious challenges in the industry in recent times. The cost of materials and freight have become so expensive as we all know, and timeframes have really been difficult to manage on many levels. I think there is also this sense of urgency from a clients perspective that has really amped up and the pressure can be quite intense at times for the whole industry, it would be nice to return to a more digestible timeframes and expectations as we all deal with a new era in the industry post Covid.
